Business Reporting Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Business Reporting Analyst to join a financial services organization located in Tysons, VA through a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity. The Business Reporting Analyst will provide actionable business and data insights in collaboration with management and business units to support both daily operations and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities of the Business Reporting Analyst include: • Analyze and interpret complex data using tools like SQL, Tableau, Business Objects, and Excel to support data-driven decision-making. • Gather and asses quantitative and qualitative business data to evaluate campaign performance across multiple member touchpoints. • Support and track data from various sources, applying consistent methodologies for performance measurement and reporting accuracy. • Monitor industry trends and competitor data to the business unit's competitive position and inform strategic recommendations. • Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and benchmarks to track operational activity and inform teams to business fluctuations. • Developing and updating SQL queries and BI solutions to support evolving business objectives. Qualifications for the Business Reporting Analyst include: • 3+ years of experience in data analytics related to cred card and consumer lending products, including marketing analysis and performance evaluation. • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering or a similar filed is required. • Proficient in SQL, Tableau, R, and Python with hands-on experience with large datasets. • Familiarity with big data tools such as HiveQL, BigSQL, Shell Scripts, and Hadoop (HDFS). • Advanced Excel Skills including pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH functions. Compensation for the Business Reporting Analyst include: • Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 • Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays This job opens for applications on 8.25.25.
