Role description
Piper Companies is seeking a Business Reporting Analyst to join a financial services organization located in Tysons, VA through a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity. The Business Reporting Analyst will provide actionable business and data insights in collaboration with management and business units to support both daily operations and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities of the Business Reporting Analyst include: β€’ Analyze and interpret complex data using tools like SQL, Tableau, Business Objects, and Excel to support data-driven decision-making. β€’ Gather and asses quantitative and qualitative business data to evaluate campaign performance across multiple member touchpoints. β€’ Support and track data from various sources, applying consistent methodologies for performance measurement and reporting accuracy. β€’ Monitor industry trends and competitor data to the business unit's competitive position and inform strategic recommendations. β€’ Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and benchmarks to track operational activity and inform teams to business fluctuations. β€’ Developing and updating SQL queries and BI solutions to support evolving business objectives. Qualifications for the Business Reporting Analyst include: β€’ 3+ years of experience in data analytics related to cred card and consumer lending products, including marketing analysis and performance evaluation. β€’ Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering or a similar filed is required. β€’ Proficient in SQL, Tableau, R, and Python with hands-on experience with large datasets. β€’ Familiarity with big data tools such as HiveQL, BigSQL, Shell Scripts, and Hadoop (HDFS). β€’ Advanced Excel Skills including pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH functions.
