BUSINESS SOLUTIONS ANALYST Our client is seeking a Business Solutions Analyst for a contract position. This role emphasizes requirements documentation, technical analysis, and collaboration within software development teams. The position is based in San Francisco with an anticipated duration of 12 months, and requires onsite work. What You’ll Do Participate as a business analyst on software development teams. Document requirements for technical consumption, including business requirements, mid-level requirements, detailed solution requirements, user stories, UI designs, use cases, mock-ups, and sequence diagrams. Perform business analysis on processes and solutions using technologies such as SFTP, Web Services, NIEM, IEPD, LEXS, Java J2EE, and Oracle databases. Apply Agile or Scrum methodologies to deliver iterative business analysis and collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders. Support cross-functional teams by clarifying requirements and ensuring traceability from business needs to technical solutions. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s or doctorate is preferred. Additional qualifying experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis. Minimum of 5 years applying analytical processes on IT projects, including at least 3 years in business systems analysis and design (6 years preferred). At least 3 years in the last 7 as a business analyst on a software development team writing technical documentation (4 years preferred). At least 3 years in the last 7 performing business analysis with listed technologies and standards (4 years preferred). At least 1 year in the last 5 performing business analysis using Agile or Scrum (2 years preferred). Bonus Points For Advanced degree in a relevant discipline. Strong experience producing business/technical documentation that clearly supports development teams.
