Role description
Job Title: Business Systems Data Analyst Location: Remote - PST preferred Duration: 6 months W2 Contract We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Data Analyst to join our client's Data Science team. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining a canonical data model for core data elements across the organization. If you are highly analytical, detail-oriented, and thrive in dynamic environments, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements related to core data elements. β€’ Support the design and implementation of a canonical data model that standardizes and harmonizes core data elements across systems. β€’ Perform detailed data analysis to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities for data improvement. β€’ Document data definitions, data flows, and data relationships to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders. β€’ Communicate findings, recommendations, and project status effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. β€’ Work proactively to identify gaps and propose solutions to improve data governance and data management practices. β€’ Assist in the development of data validation and monitoring processes to ensure ongoing data integrity. β€’ Act as a liaison between business units, data engineering, and data governance teams to facilitate smooth data integration and usage. Required Qualifications: β€’ 10+ years of strong experience in data analysis, data modeling, or related fields. β€’ Proven ability to work with complex data sets and translate business needs into technical requirements. β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. β€’ Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. β€’ Familiarity with data governance concepts and canonical data modeling is a plus. β€’ Experience with data tools and platforms commonly used in IDC or similar environments is preferred.
