Role description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Asset Catalogue Engineer to join the Maintenance Team during the construction phase of a New Nuclear Power Station in Somerset.
As part of an expanding multidisciplinary team, youβll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the catalogue of materials and equipment used during the Mechanical, Electrical, and HVAC (MEH) construction phase. This is a vital position focused on data accuracy, digital tool integration, and end-to-end asset lifecycle management.
Your Role
As a Construction Catalogue Engineer, your core responsibility will be to oversee the creation and population of the Asset Suite 9 (AS9) Catalogue, ensuring compliance, integrity, and usability of data across internal and external platforms. Youβll collaborate with both onshore and offshore teams to ensure catalogue data is accurate, timely, and transaction-ready for all project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

β’ Lead and guide offshore cataloguing teams in bi-weekly meetings.
β’ Ensure all materials are catalogued ahead of time to enable efficient site delivery and maintenance support.
β’ Govern process adherence and data quality across digital tools used on site.
β’ Support the Direct-to-Site delivery programme and lifecycle transaction recording.
β’ Manage cataloguing of Sensitive Nuclear Information (SNI).
β’ Lead an onshore team responsible for bulk installation and just-in-time material catalogue creation.
β’ Work alongside the Preconstruction Team to ensure catalogue maturity supports the 16WLA planning.
β’ Contribute to full lifecycle asset management from warehouse to site installation and handover.
About You
Weβre looking for a technically competent, detail-driven, and experienced Catalogue Engineer with a strong understanding of digital asset management and material lifecycle tracking in a large-scale construction environment. You should be confident in navigating large datasets, interpreting technical documentation, and working with digital tools in a collaborative team setting.
Skills & Experience Required
β’ Excellent attention to detail, especially when working with large data sets.
β’ Effective communication skills β both verbal and written.
β’ Strong IT capabilities: Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally Power BI.
β’ Familiarity with digital tools for material and asset management.
β’ Understanding of data organisation, sources, and governance.
β’ Experience with Enterprise Asset Management Systems.
β’ Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Qualifications
β’ Previous experience in catalogue creation within a complex infrastructure or construction environment.
β’ Demonstrable understanding of asset lifecycle processes.
β’ Relevant technical qualifications in engineering or data management (preferred).
Join us and be a key contributor to one of the UKβs most significant infrastructure projects. Help us build a legacy through robust data and reliable asset management.
