Job Description:
Senior AWS developer with 15 years of software development experience. This role involves close collaboration with the data modernization teams to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that align with their technical requirements and business objectives.
Skill Sets and experience include:
β’ Extensive experience in developing/ building AWS Data Lake formation, contributing extensively to design, development, and writing code.
β’ Experience in modernizing legacy applications, which should include refactoring/migrating in-house legacy applications to the cloud environment.
β’ Proficient in utilizing AWS services and related components towards building enterprise-level Data Lakes.
β’ Must have experience in Data Ingestion & Storage, Data Processing & Transformation, and working with AWS Machine Learning using appropriate AWS services.
β’ Experience in customizing AWS ETL logic using Python code.
β’ Knowledgeable and experienced in security and data governance covering areas such as fine-grained permissions, managing user and service permissions, data encryption, auditing, and compliance.
β’ Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Python scripting, and any prior experience in object-oriented languages is a plus.
β’ Experience working with any transactional or RDMS databases
β’ Experience with DevOps, DevSecOps, Iac, automation, building CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging.
β’ Knowledge/experience using any ETL tools, experience with data analytics using Power BI or AWS QuickSight etc., is plus.
β’ Must have experience/be familiar with Agile/Scrum Framework environments.
Job responsibilities include (but not limited to):
β’ Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective modernization strategies
β’ Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
β’ Acting as a trusted advisor to the technical team on industry trends and emerging technologies
β’ Develop, test, debug and deliver within timeline using best tools and best practices available.
β’ Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and challenges.
β’ Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
β’ Identifies architectural risks and plans to mitigate risks
β’ Ensures adherence to standards and best practices
β’ Influences and communicates effectively with non-technical audiences including senior ITD and business stakeholders.
