Job Title: Cloud Engineer Location: Quincy, MA (Local MA candidates only) Duration: 6 Months | Contract
Overview:
"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to support key data modernization initiatives through the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, and modern data integration tools. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams to deliver reliable cloud-based data solutions.
Responsibilities:
Administer, configure, and support Snowflake and other cloud database services.
Manage and maintain Informatica Cloud (IICS), Tableau, Cognos, SAS, GitHub, and MOVEit MFT platforms.
Design, deploy, and optimize AWS cloud applications and services.
Install and configure cloud-based software solutions.
Oversee user access, permissions, and data security across platforms.
Define and enforce data security, authentication, and authorization policies.
Collaborate with teams to build highly available, scalable, and performant cloud data environments.
Evaluate and recommend new tools and services for data storage and processing optimization.
Monitor cloud data systems and implement performance enhancements.
Support data governance and compliance initiatives, including HIPAA standards.
Conduct system performance reviews and establish improvement plans.
Deliver excellent customer service and ensure timely, high-quality solution delivery.
Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience implementing and supporting AWS-based data solutions.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud databases.
3+ years working with IICS, AWS, GitHub, or similar cloud data tools.
5+ years in Database Administration and Data Warehouse environments on the cloud.
2+ years installing and configuring applications in AWS or Azure.
Strong understanding of cloud networking, security policies, and firewall configurations.
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Linux shell scripting, and server administration.
Experience with encryption/decryption and cloud data protection methods.
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards (HIPAA).
Preferred Certifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent
