Role description
OverviewAs a Logistics Planner, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations and ensuring seamless transportation management. Your expertise in data analysis, demand planning, and continuous improvement will drive efficiency and effectiveness in our logistics processes. Youβll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our supply chain analytics and contribute to strategic decision-making that propels our organization forward.
What youβll do
Develop and implement effective logistics strategies that align with overall business objectives.
Utilize data mining techniques to analyze trends and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Manage transportation planning activities, ensuring timely delivery of freight while optimizing costs.
Conduct root cause analysis to address operational challenges and enhance service levels.
Collaborate with stakeholders to improve supply chain management practices using ERP systems such as SAP ERP and Oracle Transportation Management.
Create compelling data visualizations using Tableau to communicate insights and drive informed decision-making.
Oversee the integration of transportation management systems (TMS) for streamlined operations.
Engage in research and business analysis to support demand planning and warehouse management initiatives.
Basic qualifications
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting.
Experience in supply chain analytics, including data collection and visualization techniques.
Knowledge of logistics principles, including transportation management and freight operations.
Preferred qualifications
Familiarity with Lean methodologies for process improvement initiatives.
Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Proficiency in AS400 systems for data management.
