Cloud Engineer – GCP | Retail Industry Ohio (On-Site/Remote) Contract Brooksource is actively seeking Cloud Engineers to join our client’s growing cloud engineering team as they prepare for a large-scale migration of legacy applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a high-impact project within the retail industry, helping modernize and scale mission-critical systems. Key Responsibilities • Lead or support the migration of legacy applications and infrastructure to GCP • Design, build, and maintain cloud-native solutions using GCP services • Work with DevOps and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using scripting and automation tools • Collaborate with security and networking teams to ensure compliance and best practices • Implement and monitor logging, observability, and monitoring solutions Qualifications • 3+ years of hands-on experience with GCP • Proven track record in cloud migrations, especially of legacy retail applications • Strong background in containerization and orchestration technologies • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell • Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and governance • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Stackdriver, Prometheus, or Grafana • Excellent communication and collaboration skills Nice-to-haves • Prior experience working in the retail industry is preferred • Experienced leading or mentoring teams About Brooksource At Brooksource, we connect talented professionals with meaningful work.
