We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer β Cloud to lead and execute cloud-native solutions across highly regulated environments. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, enabling secure, scalable, and automated deployment in AWS Government or Azure Government cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities
β’ Plan, Design, and Implement
Architect and develop scalable cloud-native applications.
Design and execute migration strategies from on-prem to AWS Gov or Azure Gov.
Align implementation with industry best practices and security guidelines.
β’ Application Containerization and Kubernetes
Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
Manage and deploy Helm charts in government cloud environments.
Monitor and maintain high availability and reliability across clusters.
β’ Python, Infrastructure-as-Code, and Cloud Automations
Develop automation scripts using Python for deployment and integration.
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Automate cloud provisioning, monitoring, and configuration management.
β’ Team Lead and Coach
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
Conduct code reviews, coach on best practices, and support team growth.
Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
β’ CI/CD (Ops side of DevOps)
Design and operate Continuous Integration / Delivery / Deployment pipelines.
Implement CI/CD using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Integrate automation into release processes for faster, safer deployments.
β’ Security and Audit Processes
Apply cloud security best practices to safeguard sensitive data.
Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA, etc.).
Support audit readiness by implementing logging, monitoring, and alerting.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years in systems study, design, and programming (3+ in lead roles).
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Gov or Azure Gov Cloud.
2+ years of experience migrating applications to public cloud.
2+ years with Kubernetes and Helm.
2+ years using Python for cloud-based automations.
Desirable Skills (Preferred, Not Required)
Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, Ansible, or Vagrant.
API integrations and automation scripting.
Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Familiarity with data privacy and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, CJIS, PII).
Background in coaching, cloud transformation consulting, or DevOps culture.
