Cloud Data Engineer
Location: Denver, Hybrid
Contract: 6-12 months
Rate Range: $50/hour-$58+/hour The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, location, and other factors.
Duties and responsibilities
β’ Understand cloud computing, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses and Data Marts
β’ Have in-depth knowledge of at least one high-level programming language
β’ Be able to apply a basic understanding of cloud-native applications to write code
β’ Understand of the use of containers in the development process
β’ Perform unit and integration tests, as well as support UAT testing
β’ Perform development, testing, and support of data ETL/ELT programs (pipelines), using such tools as databricks notebooks & pipelines, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Informatica or similar ETL/ELT platforms, as well as knowledge of data warehousing, data mart, and data lake concepts and processes
Must have skills
β’ Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (Git, build and release pipelines), Python, databricks, and snowflake as a requirement. Nice to haves are: PowerBI, and Attunity Replicate
β’ 3 years+ in information technology and/or application development, database development and/or python scripting experience
β’ Must have experience with SQL Server and Oracle 11g
β’ Ability to write, test/debug, and tune complex queries
β’ Write stored procedures and stored functions
β’ Experience with architecture principles and design best practices
β’ Must have experience with data modeling in an Enterprise Data warehouse and data marts
β’ Autosys or comparable job scheduler (control-M or Tivoli)
