Cloud Engineer – Neo4j & AKS Fully Remote (EST work hours) Long-Term Multi-Year Contract (perm conversion based on performance) Top Skills: Neo4j, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), Terraform Summary Join a Fortune 50 healthcare company’s Cloud Data Platform Engineering team as a Cloud Engineer with primary ownership of production Neo4j running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). This is a hands-on role focused on stabilizing, operating, and scaling Neo4j in a Kubernetes-based cloud environment. You will own the Neo4j platform end to end, working closely with internal engineering teams and cloud platform partners to restore stability, support production workloads, and enable future growth. This role is ideal for a strong cloud or platform engineer who has administered Neo4j in production and is comfortable operating distributed, stateful systems on AKS. Responsibilities • Own and operate the Neo4j graph database environment end to end in production. • Deploy, upgrade, and maintain Neo4j running on AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service). • Troubleshoot and stabilize a distributed Neo4j cluster supporting multiple applications. • Support Neo4j upgrades across non-production and production environments. • Work directly with Neo4j vendor support to resolve complex production issues. • Implement and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform and CI/CD tools. • Manage and maintain Neo4j container images and artifacts using JFrog Artifactory. • Partner with internal teams to improve reliability, performance, and adoption of Neo4j. Qualifications • Hands-on experience administering and supporting Neo4j in a production environment. • Experience operating Neo4j as a stateful database on AKS, including deploying and supporting AKS clusters in production. • Strong cloud engineering experience in Azure environments. • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Argo CD, Flux, or similar. • Proven ability to troubleshoot and stabilize distributed systems under production load. • Experience supporting other production NoSQL databases (MongoDB is a plus).
