Responsibilities Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Cloud Engineer. Summary: As a Cloud Database Infrastructure Engineer in the Postgres and Distributed Database Platform Squad, you will engineer the infrastructure for the deployment and migration of PostgreSQL and Distributed SQL Databases like CockroachDB and YugabyteDB into both AWS and Azure. This is a hands-on technical database software engineering role that requires technical skills and knowledge of cloud automation tools, methods, and standard methodologies for deployment, provisioning, encryption, security, administration, and data protection. You will work with the cloud database architects and developers on database-as-a-service automation that uses a common deployment pipeline across all the cloud service providers Requirements • Experience with scripting languages such as; Python, Shell Scripting, Terraform, and Go • Hands-on experience with pipeline automation tools such as Jenkins • Expert in working with Cloud Service Providers such as AWS and Microsoft Azure • Demonstrated proficiency with Cloud DevOps and infrastructure as code concepts, and source code tools like Github • Experience in the infrastructure engineering for Relational and Distributed SQL databases • Experience working in Agile software development environments • Strong dedication to high quality and standards for your code and your team's code • Strong desire and interest in learning new cloud technologies • Ability to work as part of and with impactful and purposefully goaled teams The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
