Title: Cloud Engineer Term: 6 months + Location: Sunnyvale, Ca(2 days in office) Client: Large Tech Co. C2C Welcome (DO NOT CALL ME) Video Interviews Job Description: • Work in sync with our engineering team and application team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company • Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance • Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to developer teams to build their cloud competencies • Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines • Manage cloud finops environment, understand AWS and GCP billing • Responsible for managing and optimizing cloud costs through automation, cost allocation, and cloud infrastructure management • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures • Responsible for leading the architecture to manage public cloud infrastructure capacity plan. • Responsible for closely working together cyber security team on threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and the development and enforcement of security policies. • Develops, documents, communicates, and enforces a cloud technology standards policy. • Conducts research on emerging cloud technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommends technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility. • Develops, documents, recommends, and communicates plans for investing in IT cloud infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities. • Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training when necessary • Public cloud responsibilities include designing, deploying, and migrating systems for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and archiving environments mostly in AWS, GCP and Azure clouds.
