We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and scalable cloud infrastructure while ensuring real-time monitoring, threat detection, and compliance adherence. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud and a strong background in automation, security, and DevOps practices.
General Responsibilities:
β’ Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services.
β’ Develop and enforce cloud security policies and best practices.
β’ Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost efficiency.
β’ Architect and deploy automated cloud solutions to streamline operations.
β’ Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
β’ Lead disaster recovery planning and execution.
β’ Research and evaluate emerging cloud technologies to drive innovation.
β’ Design identity and access management (IAM) policies and role-based access controls (RBAC).
β’ Implement security monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to detect threats and anomalies.
β’ Conduct regular cloud security audits and vulnerability assessments.
β’ Lead and mentor cloud operations team.
Skills and Experience:
β’ Identity & Access Management (IAM): Expertise in designing and managing role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and single sign-on (SSO).
β’ Threat Detection & Response: Knowledge of SIEM solutions (Splunk, Azure Sentinel, AWS Security Hub), intrusion detection systems (IDS), and incident response strategies.
β’ Monitoring & Logging: Experience with CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, Prometheus, ELK Stack for performance and security monitoring.
β’ Container Security: Best practices for securing Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
β’ Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible for automation and security hardening.
β’ Network Security: Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, zero-trust architecture, DDoS protection, and secure network design in cloud environments.
β’ Data Encryption & Key Management: Implementation of encryption protocols, KMS, and data protection best practices.
β’ Expertise in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
β’ Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and automation tools.
β’ Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
β’ Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
β’ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Education:
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
β’ 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
Preferred Certifications:
