A banking client in Cheshire is currently looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer for a 6-month contract with a leading financial services organisation based in Cheshire. This role requires hands-on expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD processes, as well as a solid background in the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform.
• Deploy and maintain containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support robust software delivery.
• Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure best practices in cloud deployment.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulatory standards and internal governance policies.
• Troubleshoot cloud and infrastructure issues and provide timely resolution.
Required Experience:
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role in the financial services industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.).
• Extensive knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Proficient in managing and orchestrating containers using Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding and implementation of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and best practices in regulated environments.
This is an initial 6 month engagement working 3 days on site in Cheshire and 2 remote paying £500/day Outside IR35.
