Required Skills & Experience - 3+ years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Engineering or Operations - Deep familiarity with Azure services: VMs, storage accounts, web apps, networking fundamentals - Hands-on experience with cloud backup systems and logging platforms - Strong troubleshooting and remediation skillsβ€”able to own break/fix engineering Familiarity with scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates) Nice to Have Skills & Experience - Experience supporting developers using PaaS solutions (Azure SQL, App Services, etc.) - Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure Security Center and familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools like Microsoft Sentinel - Previous work with managed service providers or acting as a liaison between teams - Working knowledge of CMDB integration in cloud environments - Understanding of enterprise cloud governance, cost control, and tagging strategies Exposure to ITIL frameworks or enterprise support models Job Description A travel client based in Woodland hills is looking for two Cloud Platform Engineers to join their infrastructure and IT operations group. One person will be a Sr. Cloud Platform Engineer and one will be a Mid-Level Cloud Platform Engineer. The responsibilities are the same for both, however with the senior candidate the client expects them to have more leadership and need less handholding whereas the mid-level candidate will be given more hands on support and development/guidance. This role requires both operational depth and engineering initiative. They will manage and improve Azure infrastructure, act as a technical buffer between managed services (e.g., Accenture), and lead remediation and hardening efforts across the environment. This position demands strong generalist knowledge across Azure services with a focus on proactive problem-solving and infrastructure security. This role manages Azure policy enforcement, cloud backup engineering, logging standards, antivirus controls, and the full Azure resource lifecycle. It ensures compliance through tagging standards and acts as a Level 4 escalation point for cloud operations. The position oversees Defender for Cloud reporting, collaborates on vulnerability remediation, and implements security posture guidance. It also supports developers with Azure services, assists with cloud networking and asset tracking, and partners with a 3rd party vendor to ensure proper infrastructure execution. --- Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
