β’ As a Data Engineer III at Confidential Client, you'll join a team that delivers high-impact data solutions. We're looking for an experienced and collaborative individual who can build reliable, scalable data pipelines and promote best practices. This is a 6-month contract role with a potential for extension.
Responsibilities
β’ Collaborate and Deliver: Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective, end-to-end solutions.
β’ Build Robust Systems: Develop scalable and reliable data solutions with a strong focus on security, quality, performance, and governance.
β’ Modernize Architecture: Implement solutions that align with our modern, cloud-based target state architecture.
β’ Design and Document: Create and maintain high-level and detailed design artifacts for data engineering solutions.
β’ Lead CI/CD: Take the lead in building and maintaining automated, scalable test, build, and deploy workflows using modern CI/CD practices.
β’ Promote Best Practices: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and agile methodologies, and lead code reviews to ensure data engineering standards are followed.
β’ Demonstrate Excellence: Exhibit adaptability, initiative, and a keen attention to detail in all your deliverables and work processes.
Required Qualifications
β’ A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field.
β’ 8+ years of experience in the analysis, design, development, and delivery of data solutions.
β’ 8+ years of experience with SQL, ETL/ELT, leading cloud data warehousing technologies, and various data management tools.
β’ A strong understanding of data engineering best practices and data integration patterns.
β’ 4+ years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD.
β’ 1+ years of hands-on, non-PoC experience with Git and Python.
β’ Experience working in agile methodologies.
β’ Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions.
β’ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
β’ A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
What Makes You Stand Out
β’ 2+ years of experience with Snowflake, Data Build Tool (DBT), and Matillion.
β’ Experience in automating and optimizing data management and batch cycle environments.
β’ Knowledge of data catalogs, data quality, and data governance.
β’ Familiarity with the financial services domain.
β’ Experience delivering Finance domain data engineering solutions.
β’ Experience with the Control-M orchestration tool.
