Cloud Tech Lead Engineer - Outside IR35 - 6 Month Contract - London

My London based Client are looking for a Lead Cloud Tech Engineer to join their engineering team on an initial outside IR35 6-month contract. The role will provide strategic and hands-on technical leadership for the organisations Cloud Engineering team, with a strong focus on operational excellence and compliance within the Azure cloud environment. The successful Cloud Engineer will involve shaping and enforcing cloud architecture, security policies, and operational controls in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring alignment with the organisations standards and regulatory requirements The role will support engineering teams through guidance, training, and troubleshooting, while driving automation, monitoring integration, and continuous improvement across cloud operations. The role will require 1-2 days per week on site at the clients central London office. Skills: • Demonstrable experience of understanding Azure cloud Platforms and services inc. infrastructure-as-code (Bicep, Terraform), CI/CD Pipelines, and Operational integration with ITSM platforms • Experience of leading technical teams - namely Engineering and Operations • Demonstrable understanding of cloud-native development and automation practices • Demonstrable understanding of cloud Security frameworks and regulatory standards - ISO, GDPR • Experience of working with Security teams to define security policies to ensure compliance across cloud • Azure specific tooling: Technical knowledge and practical experience with specific Azure tools and services, including • Experience with Azure specific tooling: Technical knowledge and practical experience with specific Azure tools and services, including: • Azure Monitor / Azure Log Analytics • Azure Back-up • Azure Purview / Policy • Azure Service Bus • Azure Blob storage • Microsoft Entra • Azure Databricks • Dynamics • Dynamics Lifecycle Service • Azure Devops • Azure networking • RBAC/IAM • Azure Functions • Azure Logic Apps • Knowledge of Service Management tools • Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer certifications would be beneficial If this role is of interest, please share your CV and we will contact you at our earliest possible opportunity.
