Role Overview
• Position: Software Engineer – Contractor, Remote
• Commitment: 10–20 hours per week, potential to increase to 40 hours
• Duration: Minimum 2 weeks, potential for extension
• Support AI labs in building robust, high-performance systems for next-gen machine learning applications.
• Use coding agents for realistic coding tasks on real-world codebases.
Responsibilities
• Develop and support robust, high-performance systems for machine learning applications.
• Utilize coding agents to perform realistic coding tasks on real-world codebases.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Contribute to open source projects and share personal projects on GitHub.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines and improve AI model performance.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications
• Extensive experience using coding agents like codex, claude code, etc.
• Fluent in Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Computer Science degree from a prestigious university in the U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand.
• Located in the U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand.
• Exceptional attention to detail and rigorous problem-solving skills.
• Excel in both written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
• Contributions to open source projects.
• Extensive work on robust personal projects shared publicly on GitHub.
Engagement Details
• Contract Type: Hourly contractor
• Compensation: Paid weekly via Stripe Connect
• Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous
