Role β We are seeking a Collibra Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data governance and metadata management solutions on the Collibra platform. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Collibra, strong understanding of data lineage and metadata management, and the ability to collaborate across both business and technology teams to drive enterprise-wide data governance initiatives.
Key skills:
β’ Deep proficiency with Collibra APIs, Java, Groovy, and RESTful integrations.
β’ Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with common databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2, and BigQuery.
β’ Experience working with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage) and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Qlik).
β’ Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, business glossaries, and reference data concepts.
β’ Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and hybrid data environments.
β’ Proven problem-solving abilities and experience designing enterprise-grade Collibra solutions.
β’ Bachelorβs degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
β’ Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Consulting background is a plus.
β’ Strong communication skills (oral & written)
β’ Rights to work in the UK is must (No Sponsorship available)
Responsibilities:
β’ Design and implement Collibra operating models β including domains, communities, asset types, workflows, and responsibilities.
β’ Develop, configure, and maintain workflows using Collibra Workflow Designer (BPMN, Groovy, Java APIs).
β’ Integrate Collibra with ETL tools, databases, BI platforms, and cloud environments to enable technical data lineage.
β’ Configure and deploy Collibra Edge, supporting metadata harvesting across multiple data sources.
β’ Build and maintain custom APIs, SDK scripts, and automation tools for metadata ingestion and catalog enrichment.
β’ Support reference data management and stewardship functions within Collibra.
β’ Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and governance teams to translate governance policies into scalable technical solutions.
β’ Monitor and report data governance KPIs through Collibra dashboards and analytics.
β’ Troubleshoot, optimize, and upgrade Collibra environments for improved scalability, performance, and resilience.
