Oracle GL & AH Design Developer Expert (Inside IR35, Negotiable Rate)
Job Title: Oracle GL & AH Design Developer Expert
Location: Milton Keynes, UK (3 days on-site per week)
Contract Type: 6-month contract (Inside IR35)
Rate: Negotiable (depending on experience)
About the Role
Weβre looking for an experienced Oracle GL & AH Design Developer to join a high-impact finance transformation project. Youβll play a key role in designing and implementing Oracle Fusion General Ledger (GL) and Accounting Hub (AHCS) configurations to meet complex accounting and reporting requirements across multiple financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design and configure Oracle Fusion GL & Accounting Hub to meet complex accounting and reporting needs.
β’ Build accounting rules, mapping sets, and subledger accounting (SLA) methods.
β’ Partner with Finance & Accounting stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
β’ Deliver end-to-end solution design for chart of accounts, ledgers, allocations, and consolidations.
β’ Ensure seamless integration between GL, AH, and other modules (AP, AR, FA, CM, Projects).
β’ Support UAT, resolve configuration issues, and ensure ongoing production stability.
β’ Produce high-quality documentation for audit and knowledge sharing.
Skills & Experience Required
β’ Proven expertise in Oracle Fusion GL and Accounting Hub Cloud Service (AHCS).
β’ Deep understanding of SLA, journal line definitions, mapping sets, and event models.
β’ Strong SQL / PL/SQL and Oracle BI/OTBI skills for reconciliation and reporting.
β’ Hands-on experience with chart of accounts design, ledgers, balancing segments, and multi-currency setups.
β’ Experience integrating Oracle GL & AH with external or upstream subledger systems.
β’ Sound understanding of financial accounting principles and reconciliations.
β’ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
β’ Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance is advantageous.
