Role description
Commercial Data Analyst - 3-4 Month Contract In the Office 3 times per week - Central Manchester IR35 Status: TBC Rate: up to £550 per day We’re seeking a Commercial Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in unlocking value from a newly launched Single Customer View (SCV) platform. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data, strategy, and commercial growth. The SCV brings together customer data from multiple sources – including ticketing, customer service, marketing, loyalty programmes, digital platforms, and operational systems – into a unified view. Now, we need a commercially minded analyst who can turn that data into meaningful insights, KPIs, and actionable strategies that drive measurable business outcomes. What you’ll be doing • Analyse SCV datasets to identify gaps, opportunities, and risks across departments. • Translate business challenges into data-driven opportunities, aligning SCV insights to organisational goals. • Select relevant KPIs and define how they should be measured using SCV data. • Produce clear, actionable recommendations that demonstrate where and how SCV data can add value, such as: • Opportunities for more personalised marketing and customer engagement • Improvements in customer experience, both digital and in-person • Commercial tactics to increase revenue and reduce subsidy reliance • Operational efficiencies and performance improvements. • Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Customer Experience, Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Finance, HR, and Major Projects to ensure SCV data is fully embedded and delivering value. Key skills & experience • Gap Analysis – Skilled in evaluating current processes and identifying where SCV data can add tangible value. • Data Value Awareness – Experience working with customer and operational data to deliver measurable impact. • Stakeholder Engagement – Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams, from marketing activation to front-line operations. • Requirements Gathering – Strong skills in documenting and validating requirements, using approaches such as user stories, process flows, and data mapping. What we’re looking for A curious and commercially focused analyst who isn’t just interested in making data visible, but in showing how it can be used to move the needle. You’ll be comfortable working across departments, bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, and producing outputs that clearly link SCV data to real-world results.
