Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Analyst with deep expertise in commercial banking and lending products. This role demands a precise understanding of loan origination systems, data lineage, and regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial institutions and be ready to contribute to a high-impact data initiative.
Responsibilities
β’ Analyze and map data from raw loan sources into standardized, consumer-friendly formats
β’ Work within an authorized data environment to support data sourcing, conformance, and duration tracking
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data representation across commercial lending products
β’ Write complex SQL queries and perform deep data analysis across multiple platforms
β’ Document functional requirements, create backlogs, EPICs, and user stories using JIRA
β’ Support Agile product delivery on cloud infrastructure
Required Qualifications
β’ 7+ years of Business/Data Analysis experience within financial services (prior experience at major banks strongly preferred)
β’ 3+ years of hands-on experience in Commercial Lending, including loan origination systems (AFS, LoanIQ), product data, and lifecycle understanding
β’ 3+ years of experience in Data Lineage, Data Quality, and working within a Data organization
β’ Skilled in SQL and experience with data platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Data Lakes, or Warehouses
β’ 1+ years of experience using JIRA for Agile documentation and backlog management
β’ 1+ years of experience delivering products via Agile methodology and cloud infrastructure
β’ Familiarity with regulatory reporting data (Y14Q, 2052a, Dodd-Frank, FDIC 370) preferred
β’ Strong understanding of BCBS 239 data principles preferred
