The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Oracle Data Migration Technical Consultant with experience delivering several end-to-end implementations. This is a critical role, focusing on delivering successful data migration for a large-scale government transformation project. The ideal candidate would have SC clearance or be willing to undergo clearance. This is an initial 6-month contract with the opportunity for extension, offering a chance to make a significant impact on a high-profile programme. Your Role and Responsibilities: As an Oracle Data Migration Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle planning, development, testing and execution of data migration in public sector client environments. Your key responsibilities will include: Requirements Gathering & Design: collaborate with public sector stakeholders and functional teams to understand clientsโ€™ existing data position, and define extract, transform and load strategies and requirements to align with the target state solution design across Oracle ERP, HCM or EPM modules. Data Migration Development: design, develop and test data extract, transform and load scripts for ERP, HCM or EPM data objects. Data Reconciliation: Collaborate with functional teams and client stakeholders to advise on and develop data reconciliation strategies and approaches across Oracle ERP, HCM or EPM modules. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience with extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data from legacy system (mainly Oracle EBS) to Oracle Fusion ERP, HCM or EPM. Knowledge of data mapping, cleansing, and validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency. Demonstrable capability in troubleshooting data migration issues and implement corrective actions. Proven experience with PLSQL coding for extraction, transformation, data processing and reconciliation reporting. Demonstrable experience performing reconciliation tasks to verify data integrity post-migration. Previous evidence of collaborating successfully with functional teams to understand data structures and business rules. Demonstrable experience documenting data migration processes, mappings, and validation steps for audit and reference purposes. Proven experience assisting in post-migration validation and support, ensuring data completeness and resolving any discrepancies. Strong evidence of following data security and other compliance guidelines in handling client sensitive information โ€“ especially in a public sector environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to travel to client sites across the UK as required, in addition to the regular Birmingham office presence.
