Job Title: Conversational AI Engineer (Digital) Location (Hybrid Options): • Winchester, VA • Pensacola, VA • San Diego, CA • Vienna, VA Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Standard Business Hours) Work Authorization: US Citizens, Green Card Holders, TN Visa, Green Card EADs Years of Experience Required: 10+ years Position Overview: The Conversational AI Engineer will focus on the design, development, and optimization of AI-powered chatbots and voice assistants using Azure Bot Framework and Conversational Language Understanding (CLU). This role centers around post-transcription—voice-to-text will be managed by another team. Key Responsibilities: 🔧 Conversational Model Development: • Build/train CLU models in Azure Language Studio • Develop intents, entities, and utterances • Implement multi-turn context handling Speech & Voice AI Integration: • Work on the post-transcription side (voice to text handled by another team) • Optional: Experience with STT/TTS integration is a plus Optimization & Tuning: • Improve performance via interaction analytics and model accuracy evaluation Testing & Debugging: • Perform unit, regression, and A/B testing • Debug misclassifications and intent overlaps • Use analytics tools to monitor user behavior Security & Compliance: • Ensure compliance with AI ethics policies Collaboration & Learning: • Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers • Stay up to date with NLP and Azure AI trends Required Qualifications: • Proven experience with Azure Cognitive Services - CLU • Skilled in analyzing user interactions and improving bot performance • Experience with voice channel integration and processing transcription-fed input • Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills About Seneca Resources: Seneca Resources is client driven provider of strategic Information Technology consulting services and Workforce Solutions to government and industry.
