Position Overview:
The Conversational AI Engineer will focus on the design, development, and optimization of AI-powered chatbots and voice assistants using Azure Bot Framework and Conversational Language Understanding (CLU). This role centers around post-transcriptionβvoice-to-text will be managed by another team.
Key Responsibilities:
π§ Conversational Model Development:
β’ Build/train CLU models in Azure Language Studio
β’ Develop intents, entities, and utterances
β’ Implement multi-turn context handling
Speech & Voice AI Integration:
β’ Work on the post-transcription side (voice to text handled by another team)
β’ Optional: Experience with STT/TTS integration is a plus
Optimization & Tuning:
β’ Improve performance via interaction analytics and model accuracy evaluation
Testing & Debugging:
β’ Perform unit, regression, and A/B testing
β’ Debug misclassifications and intent overlaps
β’ Use analytics tools to monitor user behavior
Security & Compliance:
β’ Ensure compliance with AI ethics policies
Collaboration & Learning:
β’ Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers
β’ Stay up to date with NLP and Azure AI trends
Required Qualifications:
β’ Proven experience with Azure Cognitive Services - CLU
β’ Skilled in analyzing user interactions and improving bot performance
β’ Experience with voice channel integration and processing transcription-fed input
β’ Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
