Role description
• Must be willing to travel to Jefferson City, MO for short periods • Job Description: Conversion Lead Project: Enterprise Case Management System Implementation Position Overview The Conversion Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing data migration and conversion activities required to implement the Case Management System. This role ensures that legacy data is assessed, cleansed/remediated as needed, mapped, transformed, validated, and successfully loaded into the target solution to support each implementation phase and associated testing, training, and go-live activities. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain the Data Migration/Conversion Plan, including approach, scope, sequencing, tooling, and quality controls. • Lead source-to-target mapping, transformation rules, and conversion specifications in partnership with business and technical teams. • Define conversion cycles (mock conversions, dress rehearsals, cutover conversion) and coordinate execution across environments. • Establish data profiling and quality processes, including remediation workflows and defect management. • Coordinate data validation activities with stakeholders, including reconciliation reports and sign-off criteria. • Collaborate with Integration and Application teams to ensure converted data supports downstream workflows and interfaces. • Support testing activities by ensuring timely and accurate test data loads for SIT/UAT and regression cycles. • Plan and execute cutover activities, including conversion runbooks, back-out/rollback considerations, and post-load verification. • Provide status reporting, risk/issue tracking, and mitigation plans related to conversion scope, schedule, and data quality. • Ensure documentation and knowledge transfer for ongoing data maintenance and future enhancements. Required Qualifications • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with the implementation of a Case Management system of similar scope and size. • Demonstrated experience leading data conversion/migration for enterprise implementations (planning through cutover). • Strong understanding of data quality, reconciliation, and validation practices in a regulated or public-sector environment. • Experience producing conversion documentation (plans, mapping specs, runbooks) and coordinating cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with public-sector human services programs, eligibility, service plans, or claims/billing data domains. • Experience with data remediation initiatives, including governance, prioritization, and workflow tooling. • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and ETL/ELT tooling used for enterprise migrations. Commitment and Availability • Must have five (5) years of experience working with the implementation of a Case Management system of similar scope and size. • The Conversion Lead must be fully dedicated during agreed-upon project conversion phases and milestone activities. Reporting and Collaboration • Reports to the Project Manager and works closely with the Lead Business Analyst and subject matter experts. • Coordinates daily with technical leads (Architecture, Integration, Security/Compliance, Testing, Training) to align dependencies, sequencing, and acceptance criteria. • Partners with stakeholders and external organizations to plan work, validate outcomes, and support readiness activities. Work Location and Travel • Mix of remote and onsite work based on project needs and milestone activities. • Must be able to support onsite sessions, workshops, and go-live activities as scheduled by the project.
