Job Title: CPU Core Documentation Engineer Location: Austin TX Type: Contract – Onsite Rate: $65/hr on W2 Job Overview As a CPU Core Documentation Engineer at Client, you will collaborate closely with the CPU and SoC design teams to develop and deliver next-generation internal and external technical documentation for Client’s CPU cores. You have a passion for automating tasks to improve efficiency and flexibility, and you actively seek out new skills to enhance your effectiveness. Key Responsibilities β€’ Take end-to-end ownership of technical documentation delivery for Client’s CPU Cores. β€’ Create, edit, manage legal and technical reviews, and publish technical documentation including: β€’ Errata β€’ Data books β€’ White papers β€’ Application notes β€’ Processor Programming Reference β€’ Web content β€’ Manage document versioning using revision control or as per defined processes. β€’ Proactively gather feedback to ensure documentation meets customer needs regarding: β€’ Accessibility β€’ Relevance β€’ Accuracy β€’ Clarity β€’ Consistency β€’ Timeliness β€’ Collaborate with CPU design teams to create and maintain design files used in the documentation process. Preferred Experience β€’ Proficient in Microsoft Office and OpenOffice tools. β€’ Experience automating tasks using scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.). β€’ Skilled in structured documentation formats (XML, ODT). β€’ Familiarity with revision control systems (Perforce, CVS, Subversion, GIT, etc.). β€’ Highly motivated, self-driven, and willing to learn new skills as needed. β€’ Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills in English. β€’ Good understanding of semiconductor industry engineering terminology. Additional Desired Experience β€’ Experience or knowledge of CPU design. β€’ Familiarity with x86 or other CPU Instruction Set Architectures (ISA). β€’ Understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, networking, storage, operating systems).
