CPU Core Documentation Engineer

Job Title: CPU Core Documentation Engineer Location: Austin TX Type: Contract – Onsite Rate: $65/hr on W2 Job Overview As a CPU Core Documentation Engineer at Client, you will collaborate closely with the CPU and SoC design teams to develop and deliver next-generation internal and external technical documentation for Client’s CPU cores. Key Responsibilities • Take end-to-end ownership of technical documentation delivery for Client’s CPU Cores. • Create, edit, manage legal and technical reviews, and publish technical documentation including: • Errata • Data books • White papers • Application notes • Processor Programming Reference • Web content • Manage document versioning using revision control or as per defined processes. • Proactively gather feedback to ensure documentation meets customer needs regarding: • Accessibility • Relevance • Accuracy • Clarity • Consistency • Timeliness • Collaborate with CPU design teams to create and maintain design files used in the documentation process. Preferred Experience • Proficient in Microsoft Office and OpenOffice tools. • Experience automating tasks using scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.). • Skilled in structured documentation formats (XML, ODT). • Familiarity with revision control systems (Perforce, CVS, Subversion, GIT, etc.). • Highly motivated, self-driven, and willing to learn new skills as needed. • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills in English. • Good understanding of semiconductor industry engineering terminology. Additional Desired Experience • Experience or knowledge of CPU design. • Familiarity with x86 or other CPU Instruction Set Architectures (ISA). • Understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, networking, storage, operating systems).
