Role description
The Planet Group is looking for a Creative Developer to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 3-months contract, working a remote schedule but must be local to Cupertino, CA or Culver City, CA.
Creative Developer | Qualifications:
• Experience using modern web frameworks, such as React or similar.
• Proficient understanding of the latest ECMAScript standards.
• Proficient in at least one server-side technology, such as Node.js or Python.
• Experience using REST APIs with JSON, and a high-level understanding of how HTTP works.
• Experience building native macOS apps using Swift.
• Experience with shell scripting using Bash or ZSH.
• Experience and proficiency working and automating art with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, and After Effects.
• Familiarity with Git and using GitHub to maintain well-organized code repositories and releases.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and design-focused environment, while learning new technologies.
• Ability to design simple experiences for complex problems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with others.
• An affinity for Media Products and digital content, in general.
Creative Developer | Description:
• Build web and native macOS Apps to ease rough edges of production design processes and automate artwork at a large scale.
• Prototype artwork systems solutons in the context of Media Products UI.
• Maintain new and existing software and distribute new releases as new versions of macOS, Photoshop, Sketch, and other tools are released.
• Use internal content APIs to download, process, and upload art to different systems.
• Develop Photoshop, After Effects, and Sketch plugins or macOS services to cut down on repetitve work and boost productivity of Editorial and Production Design Teams.
• Collaborate to create and maintain documentation for new and existing apps and tools.
• Be available to support questions from team members and take feedback on bugs and suggested enhancements.
