Role description
Our Client, a Global Investment Bank, is seeking a Cyber Hygiene Senior Engineer in their Jacksonville, FL.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and manage scanning and vulnerability management solutions on cloud platforms.
• Configure and fine-tune cloud configuration management (CCM) tools to ensure accurate and secure cloud resource configurations.
• Develop and maintain cloud security guardrails to prevent misconfigurations and violations.
• Configure and optimize vulnerability scanning tools for accurate assessments of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Develop and maintain integrations between vulnerability management tools and cloud services for streamlined data collection and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud security policies and procedures.
• Analyze large vulnerability datasets across infrastructure to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Design and implement data visualization solutions to communicate insights from vulnerability analysis.
• Partner with IT teams, product owners, and CSO units to improve remediation processes and address gaps.
• Provide guidance to development and operations teams on embedding vulnerability management into workflows.
• Stay up to date on cloud security features, vulnerabilities, and best practices, recommending improvements.
• Create and maintain documentation, including configuration guides and standard operating procedures.
• Support integration of vulnerability management into the software development lifecycle.
• Deliver security training and awareness sessions to foster a culture of security best practices.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in vulnerability management, network security, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, services, and security.
• Hands-on experience with CSPM, CCM, and cloud security guardrails tools.
• Proficiency with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or similar.
• Familiarity with vulnerability frameworks and databases (CVE, CVSS).
• Scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation.
• Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and related security technologies.
• Understanding of secure coding and application security principles.
• Ability to assess and quantify risks using data analysis, risk metrics, and methodologies.
• Skilled in analyzing large datasets and creating effective visualizations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSK, or cloud-specific security certifications) preferred.
