JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Cyber Security Data Specialist is responsible for the planning, design, implementation and monitoring of security measures, policies, methods and procedures which safeguard the integrity of and access to enterprise systems, files and data elements.
This position performs the following tasks:
1. Responsible for acting on security violations. Maintains knowledge of changing technologies, and provides recommendations for adaptation of new technologies or policies;
2. Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion; and
3. Provides management with risk assessments and security briefings to advise them of critical issues that may affect customer, or corporate security objectives
General Experience:
The proposed candidate must have at least four (4) years of IT work experience in data security.
Specialized Experience:
The proposed candidate must have at least three (3) years of experience in the supervision of system engineers, and demonstrated use of interactive, interpretative systems with on-line, real-time acquisition capabilities.
The proposed candidate must have worked independently or as part of a team under general supervision and coached more junior technical staff.
Education:
This position requires a Bachelorβs Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
