Role description
Analytics Engineer – SaaS Metrics & Dashboard Foundation
• Contract / Project-Based
• 250-400/day
• Location: Fully Remote
Are you the person teams turn to when metrics don’t quite add up? We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to take full ownership of a high-impact project: designing and delivering a best-in-class SaaS metrics foundation and executive-ready dashboard. This is a chance to shape how the business understands revenue, growth, and customer behaviour - not just report on it.
If you enjoy bringing order to complex data, challenging assumptions, and building analytics that leadership actually trusts, this role is for you. You’ll be responsible for turning a comprehensive SaaS metrics framework into clean, reliable, production-ready data models and dashboard.
This includes metrics such as:
• MRR, ARPU, cohorts, NRR
• LTV, LTGP, CAC, payback
• Breakage and balance-ledger revenue models
You’ll:
• Design and build scalable SQL / dbt models
• Validate, refine, and where needed re-define metric logic
• Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and long-term reliability
• Create a clear, polished dashboard (BI tool of your choice)
• Deliver an end-to-end analytics foundation the business can confidently rely on
What We’re Looking For:
This role suits someone who has done this before and knows where the pitfalls are.
You’ll bring:
• Deep experience with SaaS metrics and revenue models
• Strong hands-on expertise with SQL and dbt
• A track record of building or rebuilding metrics stacks and dashboards
• The confidence to challenge definitions and ask the hard questions
• A pragmatic, ownership-driven mindset - you see projects through to completion
You’ll thrive here if you:
• Care deeply about clean data and clear logic
• Enjoy turning ambiguity into clarity
• Are comfortable working independently and making judgement calls
• Want your work to have visible, lasting impact
