Role description
A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Dashboard / Report Writer
Position type: Contract
Location: Remote / New York
As a Dashboard / Report Writer, you will:
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that support clinical, operational, and financial decision-making in a healthcare setting.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver data visualizations that meet end-user needs.
• Leverage reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms to create visually compelling and intuitive reports.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, join, and transform data from electronic health records (EHR), financial systems, and other healthcare data sources.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in all reporting outputs.
• Support quality and regulatory reporting, including metrics tied to CMS, HEDIS, UDS, and other healthcare standards.
• Troubleshoot report failures, data discrepancies, and ETL issues as needed.
• Provide end-user training and documentation to support adoption and self-service reporting.
• Stay up to date with healthcare data governance practices, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and evolving reporting needs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Health, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in report writing or BI development, preferably within a healthcare organization.
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with clinical and administrative healthcare data.
• Understanding of healthcare terminology, metrics, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Experience working with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech) and healthcare data warehouses.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, analysts, and IT staff.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
Project Overview :
• Dashboard/Report Writer with experience in healthcare analytics to support data-driven decision-making across clinical and operational departments. You will develop interactive dashboards and reports that translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights, supporting patient care, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
