Role description
β’ Exciting Data Analyst opportunity with an established firm. We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our project team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and mapping data between different systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to communicate findings effectively. They should be able to work independently and with business and development teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelorβs degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Contract Duration: 6 Months- may extend. Hybrid role with offices in Meridan, Connecticut.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
β’ Advanced understanding and query writing skills in SQL Server
β’ Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel.
β’ Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
β’ Ability to write clear technical documentation
β’ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Requirements
Desired Skills & Experience
β’ Experience within Financial or related industries preferred.
β’ Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
Responsibilities
What You Will Be Doing
β’ Analyze and interpret vendor data dictionary documentation and vendor data sources to identify correct data alignment with project requirements and specifications.
β’ Collaborate with development teams to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
β’ Read complex technical specifications, compare them to the implementation in a SQL Server relational database, and validate ETL loads of the system.
β’ Independently access data and schemas in SQL Server
