The Ash Group is hiring a Forecaster (Data Analyst focus) for our client (a leading telecommunications provider delivering high-speed fiber internet) based remotely in the United States. This role is crucial for managing network workforce capacity, requiring 1-2 years of data analysis experience.
You will monitor assigned market territories, create statistical forecasts, interpret data (using Microsoft Excel pivot tables and charts), and facilitate a collaborative planning process with Field Management to ensure sufficient technician availability and optimize resource utilization.
Role Details
β’ Compensation: Competitive pay rate of $24 per hour.
β’ Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and direct primary care benefits. After six months of employment, enjoy a 4% matched 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting.
β’ Duration: 12-month contract.
β’ Location: 100% Remote (United States).
What Youβll Be Doing
β’ Create statistical forecasts and forecast models within the Forecasting Tool, gathering, analyzing, and validating data specific to workforce resource management.
β’ Monitor assigned market territories and participate in regular calls with Field Supervisors to provide data interpretation on resource needs (e.g., technician availability, potential O.T.).
β’ Utilize Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables and charts for trend analysis and maintain relevant reports pertaining to the demand planning process.
β’ Facilitate a collaborative planning process with Field Management to achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts.
β’ Apply error analysis techniques to continually improve forecast accuracy and optimize resource expectations and results.
What Weβre Looking For
β’ 1-2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a related forecasting/planning role.
β’ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables and charts.
β’ Excellent data analysis and critical thinking skills to read, interpret, and make decisions based on complex data.
β’ Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required to work consultatively with all levels of Field Management.
β’ Ability to prioritize work, handle multiple issues concurrently, and maintain an adaptable approach in a dynamic environment.
β’ Previous experience in the telecom industry is helpful, but not required.
