Position: Data Analyst Location: Las Vegas NV Type: 6-12 Months Note: This is contract to hire role, Someone who can be on full time without sponsorship.Essential Functions: β€’ Define, maintain, and enforce data standards, policies, and procedures β€’ Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and reliability across systems β€’ Monitor and resolve data quality issues β€’ Collaborate with data owners, analysts, and IT teams to improve data processes. β€’ Maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and documentation β€’ Support data governance frameworks and compliance requirements β€’ Assist in data integration, migration, and transformation efforts β€’ Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across various systems and platforms. β€’ Monitor and enforce data standards, data definitions, and data lifecycle management. β€’ Conduct data audits and data profiling to identify and address data quality issues. β€’ Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for data-related projects and initiatives. β€’ Identify and resolve application performance and availability issues in a cost-effective and timely fashion. β€’ Translate business needs into technical specifications, business rules and source to target data mappings for IT development teams to implement. β€’ Perform data analysis to support decision-making and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. β€’ Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings. β€’ Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data initiatives with business goals. β€’ Provide training and support to business users on data management practices and tools. β€’ Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner. β€’ Identify opportunities for process improvements related to data management and business analysis. β€’ Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data governance and business intelligence. β€’ Recommend and implement enhancements to data systems and business processes. Minimum Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)) are a plus. β€’ At least two (2) years of experience in data management or data stewardship roles. β€’ Working knowledge in Hospitality, Gaming and/or Accounting applications, and others. β€’ Proven experience with data governance tools, data quality tools, and business intelligence platforms. β€’ Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Cognos, Excel, Tableau, Power BI). β€’ Working knowledge of agile principles and practices. β€’ Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. β€’ Ability to communicate effectively with Stakeholders, Team Members, Product Owners, and Management in both written and verbal form. β€’ Must be able to work on call on a rotational basis as required. β€’ Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
