• Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a specialization in Automotive and Captive Lending Accounting/Financial Reporting. This role will focus on supporting reporting data mapping across multiple source systems, ensuring comprehensive understanding of data topology, system architecture, and integration flows. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting principles, data structures, and enterprise systems while ensuring documentation aligns with financial reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with Accounting and Data & Analytics (DnA) teams to understand the structure and content of financial schedules and their corresponding source systems.
· Apply expertise in TFS applications and accounting frameworks to trace and map financial data elements back to their origin in source systems.
· Perform detailed data mapping between accounting schedules and source system fields, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability.
· Document data lineage including transformation logic and mapping rules to support auditability and compliance.
· Validate the accuracy and completeness of mapped data through reconciliation with financial reports and schedules.
· Support ongoing reconciliation efforts to ensure mapped data aligns with accounting outputs and reporting standards.
· Assist with variance calculations and data tracing from over 450 source locations as part of the CSO transformation project.
Required Qualifications:
· 8+ years of experience in financial data analysis (minimum 6 years considered with the right skillset).
· Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial schedules, and general ledger (GL) structures.
· Proven expertise in data mapping, data lineage documentation, and reconciliation between accounting outputs and source data.
· Deep working knowledge of TFS applications (preferred).
· Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and databases (Snowflake, DB2).
· Familiarity with SAP (required), with SAP AP/AR knowledge considered a strong plus.
· Experience with Mainframe systems (VSAM, DB2) is highly desirable.
· Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
