Role description
TechnoSmarts has a REMOTE, Contract Data Analyst position available. This is a 6 month, Right to Hire position.
We’re seeking a Data Analyst to support strategic initiatives through advanced data analysis and reporting. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to provide insights, track KPIs, manage financial performance, and support portfolio health and project prioritization. As part of a newly formed team, you’ll have the opportunity to make a strong impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and validate health management program data, including financial, pharmacy, claims, provider, and member datasets.
• Develop predictive models, perform trend analysis, and create data-driven insights for business decisions.
• Support regulatory reporting (IRS, CMS, HHSC, HEDIS) and internal reconciliation processes.
• Design and generate reports using Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Business Objects.
• Partner with leadership to interpret business requirements, monitor data trends, and identify risks.
• Handle multiple projects with shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Mentor and assist junior analysts when needed.
Required Skills (Ranked)
• Advanced Excel & Power BI Expertise
• DAX, data modeling, Power Query, VBA macros, scalable workbook design.
• Ability to build pragmatic, insightful dashboards and visualizations.
• ServiceNow Data & PPM Knowledge
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow PPM data structures, exports, and workflows.
• Ability to analyze and interpret ServiceNow project/portfolio data.
• Data Architecture & Modeling
• Experience with layered data models (Staging → Core → Access).
• Deep understanding of normalization and data curation principles.
Preferred Skills
• Healthcare industry experience.
• Exposure to financial reporting, underwriting, or predictive analytics.
Education & Experience
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years in data/statistical analysis OR 1+ year specialized experience (e.g., HEDIS, IT data warehouse, SQL, ETL, or financial analysis).
