Role description
Title: Data Analyst - Capital Appropriations Analyst Location: Chester, UK (Hybrid 50%) Client: Leading Pharmaceutical Company Type: 12 months contract - full time Main Responsibilities • Manage and track capital appropriation requests (CARs), ensuring timely approvals and accurate documentation. • Monitor actual spend versus projections to maintain effective budget oversight. • Follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely financial settlement. • Oversee the setup of new assets for both financial reporting and operational needs. • Coordinate the capitalization of assets in line with internal policies and accounting standards. • Address and resolve invoice discrepancies by collaborating with relevant stakeholders. • Maintain detailed records of workflows, transactions, and communications. • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, and Operations to improve processes and resolve issues efficiently. Main Requirements • Experience in finance, accounting, asset management, or a related discipline. • Experience with CAR (capital appropriation requests) processes is advantageous. • Background in tracking actual spend vs. projections and handling outstanding payments or invoice disputes. • Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., SAP) is an advantage. • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
