Position Type: Contract to Hire
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Analyst to support a high-performing legal team focused on Labor & Employment cases. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to grow, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about data-driven problem-solving. The analyst will undergo extensive onboarding and training, with the opportunity to eventually work directly with attorneys and clients.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Analyze and prepare data to support legal cases, primarily in the Labor & Employment domain.
β’ Collaborate with the team to manage incoming data requests and deliver timely, accurate insights.
β’ Format and manipulate data using Excel, including advanced functions, macros, and VBA (if applicable).
β’ Write and optimize T-SQL queries to extract and analyze data from internal systems.
β’ Assist in automating reporting processes and improving data workflows.
β’ Communicate findings clearly and professionally via email and in meetings.
β’ Participate in client and attorney meetings after initial training period.
Skills Required
β’ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Business, Computer Science).
β’ Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data formatting.
β’ Experience with T-SQL for querying and managing data.
β’ Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
β’ Ability to work under pressure and manage last-minute requests with urgency and accuracy.
β’ Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Preferred Skills
β’ Experience with Python for data analysis or automation.
β’ Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
β’ Exposure to legal or law firm environments is a plus, but not required.
