Data Analyst (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft. Summary We are seeking a highly skilled data professional to join our team in a dynamic role that bridges advanced analytics with supply chain operations. This position offers the unique opportunity to make a tangible impact through clearly defined deliverables over a focused 12-month engagement. You will serve as a critical resource in transforming complex supply chain data into actionable intelligence that drives strategic decision-making across our global organization. Working in a fully remote capacity, you will combine your technical expertise in data analysis and visualization with operational coordination to support senior leadership and cross-functional teams. This role demands both technical excellence and the ability to translate data insights into practical business solutions. You will be responsible for developing sophisticated analytics dashboards, streamlining planning processes, and supporting the execution of supply chain initiatives. Job Responsibilities β€’ Collaborate with senior management, technical teams, and client stakeholders to determine data requirements and implement best practices for data manipulation, storage, and analysis strategies β€’ Design, implement, automate, and maintain large-scale enterprise data ETL processes to ensure seamless data flow and integrity β€’ Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database management systems β€’ Analyze supply chain data and track key performance indicators including forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, service levels, and lead times β€’ Perform root-cause analysis of supply chain problems such as demand spikes, supply disruptions, and operational inefficiencies β€’ Create and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards that visualize supply chain performance in real time for stakeholders β€’ Build robust data models and write complex DAX calculations to support scenario analysis and what-if planning exercises β€’ Automate data refreshes and ensure dashboards are user-friendly and accessible to non-technical stakeholders β€’ Translate data insights into actionable plans and prepare summaries and presentations for supply chain leadership β€’ Support the execution of approved actions by coordinating with relevant teams and tracking outcomes to ensure deliverables are met β€’ Test programs and databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications to maintain system integrity β€’ Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to implement required changes β€’ Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while delivering results on time and within scope β€’ Facilitate communication and collaboration across cross-functional and remote teams using various digital platforms Requirements β€’ 5 to 7 years of applicable experience in data analysis, database management, or related fields required β€’ 5 plus years of experience in a global or multi-site supply chain environment preferred β€’ Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, supply chain management, business analytics, or related field required β€’ Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred β€’ APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus β€’ Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is advantageous β€’ Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification (PL-300) is beneficial β€’ Expert proficiency in Power BI including dashboard creation, data modeling, and DAX calculations β€’ Advanced analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, formulas, and ideally VBA β€’ Strong experience with database technologies and ETL processes β€’ Proficiency in SQL or other data query and manipulation tools β€’ Knowledge of at least one scripting language for data automation β€’ Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results within defined timelines β€’ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail β€’ Knowledge of ERP or supply chain planning systems such as SAP IBP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or Kinaxis β€’ Experience with database or scripting languages including Python or R for advanced analysis β€’ Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Trello, Asana, Jira, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams Additional Details β€’ Location: Remote β€’ Duration: 7 months β€’ Pay Range β€’ : $50 - $56.50 per hour β€’ Weekly Schedule: 40 hours β€’ Job Status: Non-Exempt β€’ Application Deadline: Apply within 72 hours of the posting date to ensure consideration.
