Job Title: Data Analyst - Contract (Outside IR35)
Location: Remote (occasional UK travel)
Rate: £500 per day
Contract: 12 Months (Outside IR35)
Eligibility: UK Residents only (data sensitivity)
The Company
A leading logistics organisation is embarking on a major data and analytics transformation, moving away from traditional, reactive BI reporting towards a modern, AI-driven and insight-led analytics capability.
This role requires an experienced Data Analyst who has previously helped transform data environments and can enable forward-looking insight, forecasting, and proactive decision-making.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Support the shift from traditional BI to a modern, AI-ready analytics platform
• Design and deliver Power BI dashboards focused on trends, forecasting, and operational insight rather than historic reporting
• Work with stakeholders across operations, finance, and technology to understand data challenges and define analytics solutions
• Transform, model, and optimise data to improve quality, consistency, and usability
• Enable predictive and proactive analytics to support demand planning, performance forecasting, and decision-making
• Collaborate with data engineers and AI specialists to ensure analytics outputs are scalable and future-proof
• Contribute to best practices around data governance and data quality
Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst on transformation-led programmes
• Strong experience moving organisations away from reactive BI towards proactive, insight-driven analytics
• Advanced Power BI experience (DAX, data modelling, performance optimisation)
• Strong SQL skills with experience handling large, complex datasets
• Experience supporting or enabling forecasting, predictive analytics, or AI use cases
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Comfortable working autonomously in a contract environment
Desirable
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, etc.)
• Exposure to Python or R for data analysis or advanced analytics
• Experience working in logistics, supply chain, or similar operational environments
• Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks
