Data Analyst (Contract)
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven professional to join a global IT support organization focused on delivering end-user services to internal employees. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring data quality across dashboards and reports that empower business and service delivery teams to make informed, data-driven decisions. You will support a centralized reporting platform built on modern cloud and analytics technologies, integrating data from enterprise sources to enable operational performance tracking and continuous improvement. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to both traditional reporting and cutting-edge AI and machine learning initiatives that drive meaningful improvements in service outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
β’ Maintain and update documentation for the centralized reporting platform
β’ Design, build, and enhance reports and dashboards using single or multiple data sources
β’ Develop pipelines and datasets to ingest, store, and visualize data from new enterprise sources
β’ Build AI/ML solutions to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that improve operational insights, including support for problem management
β’ Perform data validation, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure data accuracy and consistency
β’ Investigate and determine root causes of data discrepancies and document defects with appropriate engineering and support teams
β’ Improve report and dashboard usability and interactivity based on end-user feedback
β’ Deliver recurring training sessions to help stakeholders understand and effectively use platform metrics
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to support new reporting solutions and enhancements
Requirements
β’ 2 to 4 years of applicable experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field
β’ Demonstrated experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports for operational or business use cases
β’ Prior experience working within IT service management or help desk environments is a plus
β’ Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field required
β’ Strong experience with Power BI, including data visualization, data modeling, and DAX
β’ Working knowledge of SQL and Kusto Query Language (KQL)
β’ Experience using Azure Machine Learning to build low-code and no-code solutions
β’ Hands-on experience with ServiceNow data and IT Service Management (ITSM) modules
β’ Familiarity with Azure and Microsoft Fabric for data integration and analytics workflows
β’ Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality
β’ Solid interpersonal and communication skills
β’ Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies and business needs
