About the Role:
We are seeking a full-time, entry-level Data Analyst for a hybrid contract role with a government agency in Washington, D.C. You will support the agency's efforts to establish a Continuum of Care implementation plan for at-risk youth.
The primary goal of this initiative is to improve outcomes for youth and families. In this role, you will analyze qualitative and quantitative data, conduct research, and collaborate with the Project Director and community stakeholders to identify and collect data relevant to the development of the plan.
Please note: This is a hybrid work position requiring some onsite work in Washington, D.C. An in-person interview is required.
Essential Responsibilities:
Attend monthly meetings with the Project Director and agency staff to provide project updates.
Attend Planning Council meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to identify key data points for tracking and monitoring.
Collaborate with relevant agencies to collect, analyze, and identify trends in selected data.
Plan, organize, and conduct qualitative research to support asset mapping and gap analysis.
Complete a literature review to identify best practices in juvenile justice.
Use collected and analyzed data to help inform the Continuum of Care implementation plan.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
An understanding of statistical concepts and their application in analyzing public health and criminal justice data.
Proficiency in a programming language (R or Stata preferred), with knowledge of database management and data visualization.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, respond to stakeholder needs, and provide regular updates on project milestones.
Outstanding analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
Outstanding communication skills, with an ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
