Role description
Job: Data Analyst II
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Nashville, TN - Remote Possibility - Yes
Job Description:
β’ Support effective decision-making through economic, financial and market analysis of critical issues, including capacity planning, price and cost modeling, and returns on investment.
β’ Support the capacity forecasting, budgeting and reporting efforts for operating expense, capital and resource allocation.
β’ Design and coordinate the development of systems and tools to keep pace with the groupβs growing and rapidly changing businesses.
Story Behind the Need β Business Group & Key Projects
Purpose of Team: Team focuses on vehicle and tech device services. Repairs electric vehicles as well as the tech that is installed in the vehicles.
Specific project(s) the contractors will work on: Repair Data Management for Fleet Tech Devices
This resource will be owning the project(s) themselves of primarily taking direction: Taking direction / There are 2 Program Managers working on team currently
Managing one program or multiple: Potential of multiple but in the same Repair Data Space
Interaction level with developers/technical staff: Limited with developers / not much with Tech staff
Candidate Requirements
Required Skills/Exp:
β’ Strong analytic skills and a demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving.
β’ Direct experience in operations or capacity planning a plus.
β’ Fluency in standard software including MS Excel. Knowledge of SQL is a strong plus.
β’ Strong communication skills β both written and verbal.
β’ Successful characteristics for the position are the ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently, adjust priorities, and work in a continuously changing environment.
Preferred Skills/Exp:
β’ Past industry preference? --- Fleet Management is a major bonus!
Degree or Certification:
β’ Undergraduate degree required (Preferred majors: business, finance, engineering, or a related field)
β’ A graduate degree preferred (MBA or equivalent)
KPI:
β’ Ability to appropriately track the requested data
β’ Ability to provided week over week reports
β’ Ability to stick to budget
β’ Top 3 must-have hard skills
Ability to track wide data sets / Capacity Tracking - 3 to5 yrs
Evaluating spend based on set budget / Forecasting β 3 to5 yrs
