Role description
Job Title: Data Analyst Location: Milwaukee, WI 53202 Setting: 3 days per week onsite Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm CST Pay Range: $36.00 - $42.86/hourly based on interview performance and background Job Description We are seeking a mid-level Data Analyst to provide application and data support for a newly developed internal system. This role is focused on maintaining data integrity, supporting operational reporting, and ensuring the smooth day‐to‐day functioning of the application. The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills, experience supporting production data environments, and a proven ability to investigate and resolve data issues efficiently. This position is well suited for an analyst who enjoys hands-on problem solving, structured reporting, and partnering with stakeholders to support critical business processes. Key Responsibilities • Run, reconcile, and validate recurring and ad hoc application reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. • Perform data tie-outs and variance analysis across upstream and downstream systems to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Support the onboarding of new clients into the application, including data setup, validation checks, and initial reporting support. • Investigate and resolve data validation errors, system exceptions, and data quality issues in a production environment. • Partner with internal teams to coordinate and facilitate the timely delivery of reports and data outputs to the department. • Participate in testing and validation activities for application enhancements, fixes, and new functionality. • Identify opportunities to improve data controls, reporting reliability, and support processes. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field. • 2–5 years of experience in a data analyst, reporting, or application support role. • Strong SQL experience, including writing queries to validate data, perform reconciliations, and troubleshoot issues. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data issues and resolutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Experience using Alteryx. • Background in financial services, asset management, fund administration, or related domains. • Experience supporting internally developed applications or enterprise data platforms. • Familiarity with data controls, validation frameworks, or audit support processes.
