THE ROLE We are looking for a Data Analyst on a Fixed Term Contract (6 months) to join our fantastic BBC TV Licensing account at RAPP. • The role reports into the Senior Analytics Partner, who is responsible for the team of eight Analysts who between them cover the various audience segments of the base. On a day to day basis you will be mentored by one of the Senior Analysts. • You’ll work closely with the Data Planning team to help deliver a range of analytical projects and solutions to deliver true insight and to build out test plans. You will also support the Data Strategy and Account team. • Whilst you will work on a particular segment of the audience base, you will develop an appreciation of the base as a whole to understand the flow across the TVL landscape. • The work varies throughout the month, but you are likely to be involved in • The delivery of regular contractual reporting • Forecasting of campaign DM and Email volumes • Delivery of post campaign evaluations to support test and learn strategies • Profiling of audiences • Customer journey and behavioural analysis • Deeper dive analytical projects. • Identification of opportunities to deploy data creatively THE OPPORTUNITY • You’ll get to work on one of the largest accounts in the agency, BBC TV Licensing, that provides funding for the BBC to make amazing content – from TV and radio shows to Bitesize and podcasts • Part of the account’s uniqueness is that the BBC has outsourced its whole marketing function to RAPP. So, not only do we get to lead the marketing objectives and strategy that drives real behavioural change, but we also manage the implementation of that strategy all the way through to selecting the data / briefing the media agency to delivering the creative (across multiple channels) and analysing performance. • You’ll be joining a large (50+ people) group of talented and supportive team members dedicated to TVL plus the wider agency creative teams. Oh, and we’ve won quite a few awards for our work too! • Data, insights and performance is at the heart of what we do, and you’ll be working across data strategy including segmentation, UX, Customer Experience strategy, loyalty and creative. TVL is a fantastic account to learn or hone your skills in delivering effective, end to end customer journeys. • You’ll get fortnightly one to one with your manager just to talk about your objectives and how you are continually developing. Role Requirements • Currently in a similar Data Analyst role with experience in the core analytical languages and software: SAS, SQL, Excel. • Ability to think laterally about how data can be applied creatively to solve business problems • Strong understanding of relational databases and the manipulation and extraction of data for analytical purposes • Highly numerate, logical thinker • Understanding of how to use test and learn techniques in a marketing environment • Well-developed organisation skills with a very high level of attention to detail • Resilience and the ability to cope with changing priorities and work to tight deadlines under pressure • A results-driven approach and enjoyment in applying the learning and insight from campaigns to future activity • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly • Personable, positive nature with the ability to fit into a collaborative, friendly team • Added bonus: Secondary languages and software: R, Python, Power BI, Power Pivot and Query We are RAPP.
