Data Analyst – 6 Month FTC
Salary: £53,000 pro rata
Location: London (Remote/Hybrid)
Description
Ashdown Group is hiring a Data Analyst for a 6-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Director of Technology and Data, you will lead the operational delivery of the organisation’s data strategy, improving insight, reporting capability and data quality across the business. You will be the sole Data Analyst and play a key role in shaping data governance, architecture and automation.
Key Responsibilities
Insight & Reporting
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes
• Implement and maintain data architecture to support insights and reporting
• Enable self-service reporting across the organisation
• Support development of advanced analytics, including predictive and prescriptive models
Data Governance & Quality
• Lead implementation of the data quality framework
• Design and maintain exception reports and data quality monitoring
• Support the Data Governance Forum, working with Data Owners and Stewards to resolve issues
Systems & Integration
• Validate data flows between systems to ensure accuracy
• Review and map systems, processes and APIs to support data warehousing
Analytics & Innovation
• Lead development of advanced analytics and ethical AI pilots
• Identify and deliver automation opportunities and reporting efficiencies
Required Experience
• Experience as a Data Analyst or BI Analyst
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Power BI and Excel
• Proven ability to lead complex data projects independently
• Experience mentoring colleagues on data best practices
• Strong background in data validation, cleansing and reporting
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain insights to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with data warehousing or centralised reporting
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Salary
