Our direct client is looking for a Data Analyst - Healthcare - SSRS, PowerBI for a 100% onsite Long term contract in Exton, PA. NOTE: On-site position at State Laboratory in Exton, PA BACKGROUND/PROBLEM STATEMENT β€’ The PA Department of Health s, Bureau of Laboratories (BOL) operates the State public health laboratory and regulates clinical laboratories serving Pennsylvania citizens. The planned and in-process modernization efforts are driving the need for improved reporting and data exchange between various health systems and public and private health organizations. To achieve these goals, BOL requires the knowledge and support of IT professionals to supplement Commonwealth staff and bridge the gap between existing IT services and the demands of a modern public health laboratory. OBJECTIVES OF ENGAGEMENT β€’ The primary objectives of this engagement are to provide business analysis, data analysis, reporting services, and miscellaneous onsite IT support to BOL staff. To achieve these goals, the selected candidate should possess the following skills and experience: β€’ Experience in troubleshooting issues in a rapidly changing environment. β€’ Proficiency with Microsoft reporting tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI. β€’ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Visio. β€’ Ability to analyze business needs and formalize as system requirements. β€’ Familiarity with laboratory practices (clinical and/or public health laboratory). β€’ Familiarity with standardized nomenclatures (LOINC, SNOMED, etc.) used in communicating test orders and results electronically. β€’ Ability to work as team member and leader. β€’ Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. β€’ Ability to work independently. β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills. Operational Requirements β€’ The selected candidate must be familiar with the Healthcare industry (focus on health information technology) and a variety of IT technologies and methodologies. They will have proven experience in business process analysis, system requirements, data analysis and reporting, and the ability to define needs, analyze problems, recommend solutions, and provide the level of support required to maintain consistent, quality level service. Specific work items for the contractor are: β€’ Provide analysis and support for LIMS and general BOL data exchange initiatives and existing processes between BOL and internal and external partners. β€’ Provide analysis and support for laboratory specific reporting between various health systems and public and private health organizations. β€’ Create and maintain business and technical requirements, process, and workflow documentation related to data exchange, reporting, and other laboratory software development projects and initiatives as assigned β€’ Communicate laboratory system or business process needs with multiple business partners to include, IT staff, Epidemiologists, Health program staff, NEDSS technical staff, etc. β€’ Provide onboarding/offboarding support for various laboratory systems β€’ Provide miscellaneous onsite technical assistance to all Divisions within BOL β€’ Assist bioinformatician with IT infrastructure needs. β€’ Assist HHSDC technical staff with internal software development and infrastructure projects as needed. β€’ Act as liaison between BOL, HHSDC, and external IT vendors. β€’ Ensure deliverable compliance with all Commonwealth, DOH, BOL, and HHSDC, standards and procedures. β€’ Participate in various business and technical sessions and meetings. β€’ Provide status reporting conforming to mandated standards and intervals. β€’ Completes weekly timesheet reporting in Vector VMS by COB Friday.
