Role description
Individuals have primary responsibility for the design, development, and maintenance of reporting, dashboard, and data warehouse solutions (Power BI, SSRS) that support decision making within the Power Grid Operations (PGO) organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ability to communicate well with peers and internal customers
• Ability to work with internal customers on the development of requirements
• Demonstrated experience writing SQL against either Oracle or SQL Server databases
• Demonstrated experience writing DAX or MDX code
• Demonstrated experience developing/maintaining Power Automate
• Demonstrated experience developing/maintaining Power Apps
• Development of medium to complex solutions using Power BI Service, Power BI Paginated or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Demonstrated experience querying Tabular or Multi-dimensional Models in Power BI or SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
• Interface with internal organizations such as Finance, Project Management, Lighting, or Resource Management to facilitate solution delivery
• Coordinate with Information Technology on requests
• Develop solutions to complex business problems in a systematic manner
• Using Project Management fundamentals to help drive projects and initiatives to successful conclusions
• Extensive knowledge of Data Warehousing fundamentals
• Document warehouses to support cross training of co-workers
• Uses technical understanding of existing reporting warehouses, or may develop local warehouses when necessary to support the development of solutions
Additional Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with Agile fundamentals
• Experience with Python programming language
• Experience with Power BI Data Flows
• Experience working with metrics and performing analyses
• Experience with advanced Excel features (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)
• Experience in database design, creating table and views, or writing stored procedures
• Experience with Teams and SharePoint
• Experience with creation and maintenance of tabular models and cubes in Power BI or SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
