Data Analyst
Location: Hybrid in Raleigh, NC (4-1 days in office/week)
Duration: 1-yr contract with potential for extension or full-time conversion
W-2 only (no Corp-to-Corp or 1099)
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Data Analyst to support data analysis, data administration, and data governance initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of database systems, data modeling, and data quality practices. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and collaboratively, contributing feedback and insights to improve data operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Perform in-depth data analysis and database management to support business and operational needs.
β’ Design and maintain data dictionaries, logical and physical data models, and optimize database performance.
β’ Develop and document requirements for databases, schemas, data maps, ERDs, and application objects (e.g., tables, indexes, views).
β’ Create and implement data rules to identify and address data quality issues and support data cleansing efforts.
β’ Conduct data profiling, data conversion, and data governance activities to ensure integrity and consistency of DMV data.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making and system enhancements.
β’ Utilize DB2 and SQL Server to manage and query data effectively.
Qualifications & Skills
β’ Proven ability to manage highly complex work efforts independently and within a team.
β’ Strong communication skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback and collaborate effectively.
β’ Hands-on experience with data analysis, database design, and data governance practices.
β’ Proficiency in SQL and DB2.
β’ Experience designing ERDs, data dictionaries, and schema documentation.
β’ Familiarity with data cleansing and profiling tools and techniques.
